Lindy Hop, known as Jitterbug in the UK, is a street dance that evolved in Harlem, New York in the late 1920s and early 1930s.

Lindy Hop has a fun and wild energy and includes aerials, flips, lifts and tricks for the more aventurous!

Lindy Hop is the grand-daddy of all other swing dances such as Rock'n'Roll, Glasgow Jive, Modern Jive, French Jive (Ceroc, Leroc, Lejive), West Coast Swing and many others.


The Lindy Lop is thought to get its name from famed aviator Charles Lindbergh's nickname "Lucky Lindy" and his "hop" accross the Atlantic.
