There will also be free Taster classes over the Weekend with Ben and Helen Birns (Zoot Swing Edinburgh) and Paul Neary and Ger McDarby (Galway Swing) and of course two briliant nights of social dancing!

Two streams to cater for all levels: (note, times different to previously advertised in our newsletter.)

Stream A:

1:00 - 2:00: Jitterbug Stroll
2:10 - 3:30: Shim Sham
3:40 - 5:00: Charleston Stroll

Stream B:

1:00 - 2:00: The Big Apple - part 1
2:10 - 3:30: Dean Collins Shim Sham
3:40 - 5:00: The Big Apple - part 2

No need to register, just turn up at 12:40 on the day to pay.

Please note:
Stream A, no knowledge of vernacular jazz steps will be assumed.

Stream B, will be significantly harder than stream A. A knowledge of vernacular jazz steps will be assumed. It is recommemded that you know the regular Shim Sham if you want to take the Dean Collins Shim Sham workshop.

Only 6 couples per track so you'll get lots of teacher-time!

The beginner's track has been designed for people who have not done any aerials before or have just started doing them. If you've not got a partner yet, sign up and we'll match you on the day. Once teamed up with someone, we'll not be rotating and ask that you stay with the same person for each class.

The Intermediate/Advanced track has been designed for people who have done the beginner's track already or who have aerials experience already. We'll start with the challenging stuff from day one.

This course will teach the basics through to going upside down. The environment will be safe, friendly and provide lots of individual time with Ben & Helen.

We won't be rotating partners so if you haven't got one, sign up now and we'll try to match you up on the day, if we can.

Helen: Won many aerials-based Lindy Hop & Rock 'n' Roll competitions in Australia, including "Best of the Best" in Sydney. Helen also has a gymnastics and education background. Ask nice and you'l get a genuine "Body Training Systems" warm-up!

Ben: A solid rock who trained regularily in martial arts before discovering Swing. Now teaches Swing twice-weekly with Zoot Swing. Ben seeks to understand the ins and outs of good technique - no strength required!
