Zoot Swing's exciting and energetic performance troupe, "Caledonian Swing Cats" is looking for new members.

We require 4 new guys.

If you have a regular partner, we'd also like to hear from you.

If you're a gal, please register your interest as well - you'll be the first to know of any new openings.

Minimum Dancing Requirements
You must:

• be comfortable with 8 beat (swing out, Lindy Turn etc.), 6 beat and Charleston
• be available to for regular Sunday afternoon practice

• gain loads of performance experience around Scotland and Northern England
• improve your technique
• learn to dance fast Lindy Hop and other dance styles
• learn aerials and tricks
• have loads of fun with an enthusastic group of people!

Brian "Lucky" Skillen and Rhoni Blackenthorn from NYC are coming to Edinburgh!

Join Zoot Swing for a two hour workshop with these phenomenal international teachers PLUS a social blues event afterwards.

Class 1: General level, suitable to beginners through to experienced dancers
Class 2: Intermediate/Advanced, suitable for those dancing six months or more

Anyone can enter but be sure to read the Judging Criteria :-)

There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, so come and have some fun and laugh in the aid of great charity and maybe win a prize.

Also, don't forget to come along to Zoot Swing at the Bongo Club on Tuesdays for Solo Charleston Classes throughout January!!

Scotland will be hosting it's first ever Lindy Hop Exchange, this year, September 26, 27 & 28.

It'll be blue, it'll be white, it'll have a ghost or two!!

Mostly, it'll be dancers from all over the world, enjoying the hospitality, floors and tunes of one of the best cities in Europe :-).

The schedule has yet to laid in stone but will include some dancing and Scottish cultural experiences - such as capping off a Heeland Coo-mounted haggis hunting expedition with a wee dram of whiskey and deep fried mars bar :-). There'll be serious stuff too.
